The Department of research programmes of Wallonia (DGO6) is launching two “funding programme” calls for applications to host researchers in Wallonia. Apply!

To attract researchers to Belgium, the department of research programmes has implemented two new mechanisms to finance the hosting of these researchers in Wallonia/the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

The BEWARE FELLOWSHIPS programmes (for Become a Walloon Researcher) are co-financed by the COFUND programme of the European Union.

The mobility criterion

Researchers of all nationalities, including Belgian, may apply on the condition that they have spent fewer than 12 months in Belgium over the last three years.

BEWARE FELLOWSHIPS Industry

This programme will allow the granting of 57 mandates over five years, mandates whose purpose is to enable an SME or a certified research centre to benefit from the expertise of highly qualified researchers to encourage the innovation process within the Walloon host. BEWARE Industry is co-financed by the European Commission under the 7th Research Framework Programme.

BEWARE FELLOWSHIPS Academia

This programme focuses on technology transfer. The project also extends over five years and offers a total of 80 mandates for researchers in a situation of mobility to attract them to a university in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, in partnership with a Walloon company. Over the period covered by the mandate, a quarter of the researcher’s time will have to be spent within a company. BEWARE Academia is co-financed by the European Commission under the 7th Research Framework Programme.
