Casa Valonia 2025, in sunny Malaga

Casa Valonia 2025 will be taking place for the first time in Malaga, fast-growing digital hub. Conceived as a meeting place where Walloon operators can exchange ideas and build new relationships with their foreign counterparts, Casa Valonia has established itself as a strategic event enabling Wallonia to extend its influence internationally. The theme of this 2025 Spanish edition, will focus on the digital and creative industries.

Casa Valonia is a 360° visibility operation, co-organized by the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency and Wallonie Bruxelles International to promote Wallonia under all its economic, scientific, cultural, academic, tourist and gastronomic facets. Initially set up in Madrid (2019, 2021 and 2023), then in Milan in 2022 and Turin in 2024, this traveling event is organized every two years in Spain, alternating every other year with Italy.

With a population of over 600,000, the city of Malaga was selected this year for its dynamic economy, its technological appeal and its international outlook, with more than 150 nationalities represented.

Creative and digital industries

The theme of digital and creative industries was already a great success two years ago in Madrid and this 2025 edition continues to explore these innovative digital technologies, this time applied to 3 specific sectors:

  • Health and MedTechs
  • Tourism and smart cities
  • Entertainment, SportsTech, ArtTech and Culture Tech

The program

From March 26 to March 28, Walloon and Spanish companies, start-ups, research centers, universities and university colleges, cultural players, entrepreneurs and professionals will be sharing their best practices. As well as the traditional B2B sessions, there will also be visits to strategic infrastructures, such as Vodafone’s R&D center and its business lab. From visits to the Video Game Museum and the Giantx e-sport studio to meetings with major players in the Spanish digital sector, such as  the Andalusian Technology Park, Casa Valonia 2025 promises a rich and immersive program at the heart of Spanish innovation.

Casa Valonia also intends to reinforce academic agreements between higher education establishments in Andalusia and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and to build bridges between research centers in order to have more power in Horizon Europe’s flagship programs.
