"Unity makes Strength", the motto of Belgium, is now more relevant than ever.
In this globalised world, it can be easy to get lost amidst the many offers, as well as the rules, standards, acronyms, laws, lobby groups and bureaucratic hurdles, the shadow of certain groups or a certain screed that lead to inertia and the loss of opportunities.
Common markets and unions such as BeNeLux, the European Union and Chambers of Commerce were created for us to help and support each other.
In Peru, the European Chambers with official representation in the country have been grouped together under the EuroCámaras banner and association since 2014.
There are currently 17 countries grouped together into 11 Chambers, including those of:
- the Baltic countries
- Belgium - Luxembourg
- France
- Germany
- Great Britain
- Ireland
- Italy
- Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden)
- Romania
- Spain
- Switzerland
Other European countries/chambers are expected to join soon.
The meeting naturally centred around giving greater visibility to Europe, its countries, Chambers and businesses, as well as around the laws due to enter into force in Peru, particularly those relating to transparency, corruption, illegal mining, the funding of terrorism and other current issues.
We also reiterate the fact that we are here in this country ready to offer our assistance and expertise to promote not only Belgium and Luxembourg but also Brussels and Wallonia, WBI, AWEX, etc.
We can receive, use and distribute promotional materials, produce projections and articles and make greater use of social media, blogs, web pages, etc. as levers for greater opportunities and success.
